Re: Gary North, Google-translator

I like Gary North.  His older stuff might be a bit too Theocratic, Rushdoony-style, though.  He writes regularly on Lew Rockwell’s site (LRC)
I don’t read much of anything else at LRC, but I do peek at North’s stuff there.  Here is the archive of his articles.
Unfortunately, much of what is written in Libertarian circles in pure propaganda, and this is the case at LRC much of the time.  Mises’ Institute’s blog is also very propagandistic, and so is the FEE blog.
The propaganda is okay up to a certain point, but useful mostly for solidifying those who are already sympathetic.  (How often do churches follow the same course, keeping the chosen frozen as it were.)  Rarely will their arguments be compelling to unbelievers.  The Institute For Humane Studies is much more intellectually rigorous.  Of course, it is housed here at GMU where I am studying, and one of the major reasons I am here.
I am very wary of Theocratic ideas.  Any argument which presupposes a teleological paradigm is suspect in my eyes, especially since that paradigm makes the appeal to unbelievers more difficult.
By the way, I think I found a version of Government By Emergency online – only it is in Bulgarian.  No matter.  Google translater fixes it for us!  How can people say Capitalism is bad?
